What it's like

Tsim Sha Tsui has the best view in Hong Kong: the island skyline across the water, lit up each night for the Symphony of Lights. The Star Ferry, the waterfront promenade, the Museum of Art and the Space Museum are all here, and West Kowloon's M+ and Palace Museum are a short walk away. Nathan Road and Canton Road are lined with shops.

It has hotels for every budget, from the Peninsula to Chungking Mansions' guesthouses, and the MTR, ferry and buses everywhere. It's busy and commercial, with touts on Nathan Road, but it's an excellent all-round base.
