What it's like

Bukit Bintang is the city's busiest district: Pavilion, Lot 10 and a string of malls along Jalan Bukit Bintang, massage parlours and hawker stalls in between. After dark, Jalan Alor fills with tables for grilled seafood, satay and noodles, and Changkat Bukit Bintang's bars and clubs stay open late.

It's the best all-round base for food, shopping and nightlife, with the monorail and MRT, and a covered walkway to KLCC. It's loud, crowded and touristy in places, and pavements can be patchy.
