What it's like

Mid-Beach runs along Collins Avenue from about 23rd Street to the 60s, with Indian Creek on one side and the ocean on the other. It's home to some of Miami's grandest resorts, from the 1950s Fontainebleau to the gold-and-red Faena District, and a beachfront boardwalk runs most of its length.

It suits travellers who want a resort stay with space to relax, while staying a short ride from South Beach's bars. There's less to do on foot than in South Beach, and most hotels charge high resort fees.

  • Faena District
