What it's like

Lake Buena Vista sits right next to Disney Springs, Disney's free shopping, dining and entertainment district, and several hotels in the Disney Springs Resort Area are within walking distance of it. Many offer shuttles to the Disney parks and some get Disney's early park entry.

It's a good-value alternative to staying on Disney property, close to the parks and the I-4 for Universal and I-Drive. Shuttles are slower than Disney's own transport, and away from Disney Springs it's mostly roads and chain hotels.
