What it's like

The Tridente is the three straight streets fanning out from Piazza del Popolo, with the Spanish Steps at one end. It's Rome's smartest shopping district, lined with designer boutiques, galleries and old cafés.

It's central, with Metro A at Spagna and Villa Borghese on the hill above. Prices are the highest in the city, and evenings are quieter than in Trastevere.
