What it's like

Asakusa is the most traditional part of central Tokyo: Senso-ji temple, the Nakamise shopping street, rickshaws and old izakayas. Across the river is the Tokyo Skytree.

It's calm at night and cheaper than the west side of the city. The trade-off is distance: Shibuya and Shinjuku are 30–40 minutes away.
