What it's like

Marunouchi and Otemachi are Tokyo's business heart, between the restored red-brick Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace gardens. Streets are wide, calm and lined with office towers, shops and some of the city's best luxury hotels.

It's ideal for Shinkansen trips to Kyoto and Osaka. Evenings are quiet; Ginza is a 10-minute walk for dinner.
