What it's like

Konyaaltı beach runs for several kilometres west of the city, with a promenade, beach clubs and a park behind it. The water is clear and deepens quickly; the beach is pebbles, not sand. The Antalya Museum and the aquarium are at the city end.

It's a good middle ground: a real beach, family-friendly hotels and the old town 20 minutes away by tram or taxi. Most of the area is residential, so evenings are calm away from the beach clubs.
