What it's like

KL Sentral is where the KLIA Ekspres from the airport arrives, along with the LRT, monorail and intercity trains, and it's surrounded by business hotels and a mall. Brickfields, next door, is Kuala Lumpur's Little India, with sari shops, banana-leaf restaurants and temples. The Perdana Botanical Gardens and National Mosque are a short walk north.

It's the most practical base for short stays and early flights, with good hotels at fair prices. It feels more like a business district than a destination, and the old streets of Brickfields are busy and a little chaotic.
