What it's like

The Center Strip is the Las Vegas of the films: the dancing Bellagio fountains, the Roman fantasy of Caesars Palace and its Forum Shops, the Paris replica Eiffel Tower and the LINQ Promenade with the High Roller wheel. Many of the city's best restaurants, shows and pools are within a few minutes' walk, and the Sphere is just behind the Venetian.

It's the best base for a first visit and for people who want to walk between casinos. It's busy at all hours, rooms cost more than on the edges of the Strip, and walking between resorts takes longer than it looks.

Best streets and sub-areas

The Strip itself, from Bellagio to Caesars and the Mirage site.

  • The LINQ Promenade

Outdoor street of bars and shops leading to the High Roller.

  • Flamingo Road

The crossroads at the centre of the Strip.
