What it's like

Vinohrady, named after the royal vineyards that once grew here, is one of Prague's most desirable neighbourhoods. Its tree-lined streets of Art Nouveau buildings lead to squares like Náměstí Míru and parks such as Riegrovy sady, with its beer garden and sunset views, and Havlíčkovy sady's vineyard and grotto.

It's a great base for longer stays and a local experience, with metro and trams to the centre in minutes. You'll be a 15–20 minute walk from the Old Town, and it's quiet at night.
